Part of traditional Asian medicine, the relationship between yin and yang within a person is key to their general wellbeing.
Yin is the feminine half, associated with the soft, passive, cold, dark and slow elements, and hence coincide with night time, the moon, water and Earth.
Yang is the masculine half, associated with opposite characteristics such as speed, heat, solidness and activity, and where the sky, sun and fire occupy the domain of yang.
If either yin or yang is weak, then it can be strengthened. If one yin or yang is stronger than the other, then this can be remedied by strengthening the opposing energy in order to rebalance them. The aromatherapist can tell you if you are yin or yang, and which essential oil you need in that moment to balance and improve your health.
